Hello and hope you are doing well.

Loss of taste and smell sensations could be due to nasal and sinus problems, such as allergies, sinusitis or nasal polyps. Certain medications, including beta blockers and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors can cause your symptoms. Sometimes tooth decay or poor dental hygiene, cigarette smoking, head or facial injury, Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease can cause loss of taste and smell sensations. Please consult your primary care physician who will do an initial clinical assessment and then may refer you to a neurologist if needed.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
