Lump in throat painful when swallowing

by sam1042, Jul 24, 2008 08:42AM
Hi,
I felt a lump in my left submandibular gland that hurt when I swallowed and had a neck ultrasound. The report says "there is adenopathy in the neck bilaterally which is most likely reactive." It also says there is a hypoechoic solid lesion in the left parotid gland which may represent a small intraparotid node. Please could someone tell me what this means?

I will be seeing my GP but would also like a second opinion.

Thank you.
