Lumps in back of throat

Ive had this problem with my throat,Nomatter how i would brush my tongue and teeth not to long afterward id still have this smell like how men have.like a mans breath.Im a female so its embarrasing. And i know i shouldnt have this problem.Nomatter what i do i still have this issue and the swollen area goes all the way down the back of my throat as far as i can see and its worse on my left side.So ill post some pics up n maybe someone could tell me what this is.Because ive looked in other ppls mouth lol and it didnt look like mine.It kinda almost feels like the back of my throat is closing in.It wasnt always like that though. Are those my tonsils should I have em taken out if they are?Sorry they're so  blurry i tried to clear them up a bit.

Ok.well im going to see about getting them taken out because they are a major problem when it comes to my breath and sore throats.I was told a few years back that i could have them removed if the problem continued, but i never persued it because i always thought it would go away but years have past and i've had plenty of sore throats that i never told my doc about.and the breath is practicaly constant. So thanks for the info...

The thing hanging down is called the uvula and the tonsils are located on either side of the back of the throat, just behind the uvula.  It looks like I can see the very back wall of your throat immediately behind your uvula.  Some tonsils are so big they actually touch in the middle.  Yours don't appear to be that big.

Hard to see much in that photo (it's mostly tongue and soft palate), but you can see the upper pole of your left tonsil.  Your tonsils could be rather cryptic.  This is a condition where the tonsils collected debris and can be rather foul-smelling.  Some people have success using devices such as water-picks or instruments to remove the debris.  If this is indeed that case, and you cannot get relief with conservative measures, having your tonsils removed could be helpful.
