Lymph node issue...

Lymph node issue...

Hi.  For the past 3 weeks I have had a couple of small swollen nodes under my right ear in my neck.  2 of them are tiny and soft and one is a bit larger - bean sized and a bit harder.  It does not really hurt when a press on any of them - maybe a slight ache.  I went to the dr. and he said I was getting some kind of sinus infection or cold and that's why they hurt.  About a week went by and nothing happened in terms of cold symptoms.  3 Days ago I got the worst cold I have ever had and now it is on it's way to being a sinus infection.  My question is, can lymph nodes be swollen for up to 3 weeks with no other symptoms and then I would get sick, or are the cold and the lymph nodes unrelated and should I be worried about lymph issues?  I have no fever or night sweats or anything like that.  I have had a ton of dandruff and have been very itchy lately though...thought it was just the cold weather.  The lymph nodes have not really changed in size aside from getting smaller during the day and larger at night sometimes.  I did not know where to post this so I posted it here.  Thanks for the help!  I am a bit nervous about this.

This is still happening...Anyone had anything similar happen to them?  My Dr. perscribed be some Augmentin to take for the "Sinus infection" but I don't even know if thats what I had in the first place.  Should I just take the antibiotic to try to get rid of the swollen nodes?

Thanks
