Male yeats infection??

Male yeats infection??

for about 4 months iv'e had irritation in the whole shaft of my penis and the forskin is mildly sore with redness, (not nice to hear but) and a not right smell also...
i find it the irritation feels worse after sugary foods!! like almost straight away!

iv'e been to the doctors twice and the first time they prescribed a fluconazole tablet 200g, a couple days after this the condition was a little better but then came straight away.

the second time round which i am now taking is a lesser dose but a 14 day course... iv'e now nearly finished the tablets with no better results???

any suggestions on beating this dreadful yeast infection??...
i heard a diabetic diet helps?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The pain could be due to Balanitis, which is inflammation of the glans (glands) penis. It is usually occurs in uncircumcised men, in whom the smegma collection along with discharge is likely to result in inflammation. This causes pain, discharge, itching, difficulty urinating and sometimes impotence. This is very common in diabetics. Other causes are due to poor hygiene, obesity, certain medications like tetracycline and due to superadded infection with virus and bacteria. You may need to consult your primary care physician, who may do a culture and sensitivity of the discharge to find out the appropriate antibiotic. He may then refer you to urologist if the need arises.

This forum is ENT related, next time you could post this query in the appropriate forum. Regards.
