So you're having diabetes mellitus (Metformin), hypertensive (Metorprolol)
and hyperlipidemic (Simvastatin). Why was Plavix advised? Maybe as a blood
thinner to protect against heart attacks?
If you have been having 'sinus problems' (?) for a long time, it is advisable to visit the ENT to make out what exactly is the problem and what should be done about, it if something should be done about the same.
"Dizziness" and "light-headedness" are symptoms vague enough to be pinned to anything in the body. Whole one side of body feeling numb or paresthesias can not be connected either to maxillary sinus cyst or ENT problems. A clinician will rather see to your blood sugar or BP for this, first. If nothing special, an internal medicine specialist or neuro may be consulted.
Hope this helps.

I am on Simvastatin 40mg twice daily, Metoprolol100mg twice daily, Metformin 500mg daily, Plavix 75mg @ bedtime. They put me on Levaquin 500mg daily for the sinus, and Fioricet for pain.
The ones listed first I have been taking it for about a year, and havent had any trouble until the past few weeks. I have had sinus problems my whole life, and I am the time of guy that doesn't want to take the usually steps of cleaning out my nasal passages either. I am wondering if that is part of the problem. I have been to my Family doctor, and he seems to think that the dizziness and lightheadness is due to the sinus infection.
Should I be concerned, I really need to get back to par, I have just started this job 3 months ago and cant afford to miss work. Please tell me what you think!
A maxillary sinus cyst is usually silent and hence seen as an accidental finding in an X-ray of the sinuses. Usually it is left alone unless it is very big to occupy the whole of the sinus, or blocking its opening into the nose.
Though your headaches may be caused by a recent sinusitis, the numbness of right side of the body and the dizziness and paresthesias are of a different genre. Maybe your hyperglycemia (are you a known diabetic and your medicines are not acting?) is responsible for everything. What all medications are you now on?
Your hyperglycemia, numbness, dizziness, paresthesias have to be handled first, be it by your GP or an Internal Medicine specialist. Then one can think about ENT.
Hope this helps.
