Multiple Symptoms

A year ago I suddenly developed a thick drainage in the back of my throat.  Sometimes I almost choke on it, its so thick and continues to drain.  I have several other symptoms, not sure if they are related but they all have been gradual over the last few years.  My right ear pops quite a bit and sometimes they have severe pain, when I sleep on my left side and sometimes whan I'm sitting upright.  I've had this for over a year, my regualr doctor says he sees nothing wrong.  I also have High LDL 131 but he isn't concerned.  I've got chronic constipation for a couple of years.  I tired diets, stool softener and amitiza give me diarreah (diarrhea).  I've tried many others, either I'm still constipated or I'm constipated with severe gas.  I have lots of headaches, fatige, joint aches and pains(Spine, neck shoulders and hips), Muscle aches and Stiffness(Spine, neck shoulders and hips).  My hads have been swelling lately too.  Doctor gave me water pills.  I've been give medication for depression and the fatigue gets worse and headaches don't go away. Are any of these related?  Or could this be Hypothyroidism?  If I'm in the wrong forum please let me now.

1. The thick drainage at the back of the throat is most probably coming from the sinuses.This may be a case of chronic sinusitis.
2. Ear popping & pain; can be due to the eustachian tube block caused by sinusitis.

Since it is chronic (about a year), it may have to be managed by an ENT specialist.

3. Other problems: Constipation, fatigue, aches and pains, depression, headache >> you are right; Hypothyroidism has to be ruled out.

Your doctor may check for hypothyroidism first. (Even the ENT problems may be related to hypothyroidsm, but now it has to be treated separately as it is already one year)
