My 6 year old daughter can't stop snorting like a pig!

For the past year i have notice my daughter snorts her nose like a pig & clears her throat a lot. I have taken her to doctors & none of them seem to know why she is doing it, one even told me she just wants your attention i kind of laughed at him & said well she gets everyones attention cause everyone stairs at her when she does it. She is very embarrassed of it cause some kids tease her at school cause of it.
When i ask her why she is doing it, she says cause she can't breath.
I had an xray done on her nose & they said her adenoids where a bit swollen but nothing major. Then they gave me a spray (avamys) for allergies but she is still snorting.
I feel so sorry for her, i want to fix it for her but i can't find a doctor that know what it could be.
Can anyone help!

It is a tic try taking her off of gluten, dairy soy, Artifical Colors, preservatives, high fructose, corn syrup, gmos, fructose, alumium, wheat, guar gum, red 40, all artifical colors, artificial flavors, go all organic and non gmo with everything that should take it away but for me when i took plexus probitiocs i could eat the food i loved without it bothering me.
But there's one problem the snorting comes back as much as how much you eat of that stuff maybe this will help.

Also check for worms. (Check the stool) They can cause the tics vocal and motor.   Doctors tried
To send my 7 year old to a neurologist and give allergy medicine for his tics that started overnight out of no where.  We refused and suffered. Many different doctors all the same runaround.   Found out on our own he had a worm infection.  We are still fighting it off and on.  But the worms are the cause of his tics/Algeries 100%.   When the parasites are almost gone and his stomach starts to heal all tics (and they were scary to watch) complety subside.   As the infection comes back so do the tics.   The doctors KNOW what this is.    They should be ashamed of themselves for how they treat kids and holding out on info and cures because of money.  Good ol USA #38 in healthcare #1 cost.    Anyone else who reads this PLEASE when it’s your children don’t follow anyone blindly. Especially when they are pushing pills and shots for bonuses.    2018 we must all eat cleaner and take our health back from big pharma

I had exactly the same issue. Spent a FORTUNE on every conceivable ENT specialist and medication known to man
Turns out it's a DAIRY INTOLERANCE!!!
Who knew??
Went on a cleansing diet on advice from Chinese medicine/ acupuncture woman ..who diagnosed 'DAMP issues!' Google it..
some foods really exacerbate it
So ate
No meat, wheat, sweets, dairy, or alcohol
And it seriously cleared up.
MIRACULOUS!
So grateful now not to be snorting like a pig anymore!!!

Hey, i'm also suffering from this... Have you figured out what it might be?  I've been doing the snorting for about 3 years now and it's ruining my teen life. I've been to nearly every doctor in the state and none know what it is.  Any help would be appreciated if you know anything, anything at all...

My wife I just started
dealing with a very similar situation with our 8 year old daughter. Her sniffing turned into uncontrollable snorting. I found some information that seems helpful.  http://www.njcts.org/tsparents/sniffing-allergies-or-tourette-syndrome.  That article has few links to some other articles with enlightening information. Hope it helps.

My son had the same problem years ago; it was his adenoids.  He had them removed and all was better.

I hope she gets in soon to see this ENT Specialist; I think she needs her adenoids removed. I think they are significantly swollen in her case.  If her breathing become difficult/life-threatening please seek emergent care.

My son snorts in and swallows the phlegm because he can't blow his nose.  (Can't get teh knack of keeping his mouth shut and forcing the air outward.  So he snorts it inward to clear his nose, and swallows in a choking way.)  Does your daughter have any problem blowing her nose?
