Hi chikku,

Nasal bleeding is common in some individuals when they are exposed to extremes of the climate, there is drying of the nasal mucosa. Following this there might be a raw area created leading to the nasal bleed. There are also other causes like small haemangioma or bleeding polyp (as you hail from Cochin, the rhinosporidiosis cannot be ruled out).

I do have few suggestions for you:

1. Drink plenty of water
2. Use saline nasal drops
3. Ointment (with neosporin) can be applied inside the nose over the nasal septum. As, front part of the nasal septum is more prone for drying and crusting.
4. Consult an ENT specialist for a thorough check up.

I generally agree with the above advice with the following exception -- you should avoid using an ointment with neosporin as you are not describing an infection and there should be no need for this.  Furthermore, a significant number of people who use topical neosporin will have some skin sensitivity from this after a few days.  No need to even encounter this problem if you don't need to.  Good luck!
