Numb tongue

Hi there,
About three days ago just out of the blue my tounge went numb all of a sudden. When I got up yeterday I thought the problem had went away. But when I went to church (yesterday) I noticed that it started going numb again. I also went to the church this past Friday (the day the sympom started) Each time I got home I noticed that the symptom went away but not completely. I only now notice that I have a numb tongue only when I eat. Could this be an allergic reaction?I have also noticed that my tongue looks kinda strange. I did some research on the internet. It looks identical to geographic tongue. But my readings do not mention a numb tongue as a symptom of geographic tongue. Is this something I should be worried about?
