Orange Yellow Mucuous

I just had the very same experience this morning - a big blob of orange, yellow in color mucuous that was the consistency of egg yolk - never had that before in my life with all the sinus infections that I have had over the years.  Does ANYONE know what this is caused by???  Thank you.

I didn't have it tested, but from my research i figured out that it was a fungus ball.  According to Mayo Clinic research, a fungus is present in the majority of sinus infections, even if they are caused by bacteria or viruses.   Your results may vary.
