Perforated my eardrum for my third time

Hello.
I have perforated my eardrum for my third time. I am really scared about it not healing. I remember my family doctor telling me when I perforated it my first time to just keep it dry and wait. That is exactly what I'm doing right now (wearing silicon moulding earplugs in while showering). I have read from the site below that eardrums heal even if perforated multiple times, but I'm not sure whether to trust it or not.

I want your advices please!

This is true, ear drums can heal again and again -- just like your skin anywhere else.  Sometimes larger perforations don't heal and a simple procedure can be done to fix this.  This isn't recommended until the drum is given enough time to try it on its own.  You are doing the right thing.  Follow-up with your ENT doc!

Thank you so much for your input ENTMD!

I just have one more question.
Is it safe for me to work out at the gym and have constant airflow out of my ear? Or is that adding too much tension to my eardrum and potentially making it worse?

I generally advise people with perforated ear drums to avoid activities such as playing instruments like trumpets, etc., that may result in air being forced up the eustachian tube.  Working out is probably OK, just use good judgment.
