Persistant sore throat, white bumps/sacs in back of throat.

About a month ago I had a sore throat , went to the doctor. Just thought it flu or virus related ( streph came back negative). It remained sore for two more weeks , went to see doctor . Have two white things hanging in back of throat / mouth - look like pus filled poloyps / sacs ( about the size of small navy beans). Well they are still with me 30 days later , throat is no longer truely sore but feel "sensitive " on my right side of throat when swollowing . Sometimes that sensitivity includes inner ear that side. I am non smoker/drinker. Worried about cancer , doctor examined and palapated my neck, and will refer me to to an ETT ( which will take weeks) . What could be going on? I realize that you can't be certain withour a physical exam. She thinks it's GERD and medicated to same, does seem almost gone , just a little sensitive. What about the bumps? they remain the same-dangley! Have a cpap machine that I stopped using since it dries me out ( even with water reserve) , also have history od numerous/serious sinus problems. Hi - whatever happened with this?  I ask because I've had a sore throat on one side and my doc said GERD, as well.  I havn't been taking the med's because I'm not quite sure I believe this.  Thanks

I have bumps in the back of my throat for 3 months already. I have taken all kinds of antibiotics, amoxillin,cephexaline and they don't go away. They don't bother but every time I wash my teeth i can't stand looking at them. What could it be?

Hi I saw your post and wanted to give you my 2 cents. I have GERD and have been taking meds for 4 years now.Yes, GERD can cause sever sore throats and even laryngitis, because of the backed up acid coming back up through the esophagus and into the mouth area. It can also cause heart burn, barrets esophagus, where food gets stuck in throat, and eventually throat cancer, if left untreated. If your dr mentions this again, suggest getting a second opionion, from a Gastro doctor. It took me a year to finally get a right dianoses. Good Luck, and let me say the meds have been a lifesaver for me!

Hey dude!! Ask yur doc if it is strep. Unlikely to be strep, but still ya need a trip to the doc. Drink two full cups of water when you wake up in the morning. At suppper, drink any thing without caffeine or sugar.Example: milk, water, applejuice, anything yummy to ya without the stuff above. The best place to get info is the doc, not i. bye

Hey, I just wanted to know if you have been around any plants. Some plants can get you sick, like if you pick a flower and put it up to your face. So if a little kid or your crush or anyone (including you!) gives you a  flower or a plant, don't try smelling it like a weirdo would do.... ahola (bye)
