Plz Help!!

Hi!  I have been experiencing problems with dizziness, lightheaded, unsteady on feet, movement of eyes or head makes me sick, my eyes and ears are really sensitive to light and noise, even, my scalp is sensitive to the touch.  I feel this 24/7.  It gets worse when I drive or are in stores.  This has been going on for 8 yrs and I am only 28.  I haven't been able to work for over a year now.  I have gone to every doctor you can imagine and they all say vertigo.  I finally, found another ENT and he says its Menieres Disease.  I have tried all medications for the vertigo and there is no relief.  I'm trying the low salt diet now, but with no results either.  My eyes just feel like they are all wobbly.  I can't focus on anything or look at things passing by.  I think that's the thing that makes me feel worse than anything-besides the dizziness, ringing in the ears, and fullness in ears.  I just can't understand why my symptoms last 24/7.  I don't have these attacks that everyone talks about.  It is just a constant feeling of sickness.  Sometimes laying down helps, but I can still feel the dizziness and lightheadedness.  When I go out and try to drive, I get confused.  I am taking Ativan to control anxiety.  When I look at things, even if its things that I have seen for years-for example my house.  Things look foreign, like I've never seen them before.  Is ANYONE else experiencing this, and if so what relief have you gotten?

Hey Guys,

Although im on this site for  a sinus issue which im having right now i can probably help you.

Ive been experiencing the same things as both of you for over 3 yrs now.  Your main issue which you speak about is commonly reffered to as depersonalization/derealization.

I know it all to well and it sucks badly.

As one of you mentioned its probably some sort of chronic infection such as borellia, mycoplasma, babesia, bartonella know as chronic lyme disease.  Or possibly some sort of chronic virus such as hhv-6, EBV, CMV etc.  Or possibly a combination of 2 or more of these.

A dr who would be able to test and treat these is known as a lyme literate medical dr.
Many normal drs do not understand how to properly diagnose and treat these illnesses.

There are ways to find these drs and more info on chronic lyme at lyme.net  if you feel its something you should look  into.

If you have any more questions ill try and check back.

Goodluck,
Joe

Yeah I believe the fibro and my ear problems are two different condtions. I have been to the ent and he said maybe mierners and put me on dieretics which didnt help at all. I can deal with all the problems from the fibro it just pain in joints and spasms and such but the head pressure and headaches and dizzyness are drving me crazy and the crackling in my ears and sometimes it sounds like a pulse in them. I just moved across the country to wa state and are looking for new dr's and had to get new health insurance. I've had so much blood work done and at one point my thyroid levels wee low but at retest it was fine, but my thyroid is enlarged.

Yours sounds like it may be something different?  Are you still able to work and drive?  I do have drainage out of my ears, but none out of my eye.  Have you seen an ENT?  Wonder why they would tell you fibromyalgia?  I don't think the symptoms are even similar to what we are dealing with!!!  Mine started 8 yrs ago and I can't even tell you how mine started because I have no clue.  I was a healthy 21 yr old and I woke up one morning feeling like this.  Over the years, it has gotten much worse.  I think some infections will cause these symptoms.  If you have problems with anxiety, you should def try Xanax or Ativan.  I go back to the ENT next Wednesday for an ENG.  Hopefully, I will get some answers there.  If I hear ANYTHING helpful, I will let you know.  I just think the infection started yours, so it seems like there should be something they could do.  Have you have blood work done recently?

No the only thing I am taking at the present time is baclofen, every day I do feel bad kinda a drunken feeling and don't see things very clearly. On a daily basis I hear a crackling or a crunching in both my ears. They usually always feel full also. And sometimes I have drainage outta them. But at times I can feel fluid in them. If I hold my nose and push out I get fluid also come outta my right eye lol its gross. I've been told fibromyalgia, vertigo and mierners maybe but no meds help however I had stopped taking the baclofen for a little while and my headaches were much worse. I have had a mri and it showed some brain shrinkage, but thats all. I do have to say though this all started when i had a mrsa infection over a yr ago and was allerigc to the antiobiotics and they gave me a shot of steroids for the allergic reaction which I feel i didnt need cause i had no swelling just a heartrate of 154 and hives on neck and arms and about 20 mniutes after the shot it felt like my nack completly closed or was very tight and had my first episode the next next day and have had these problems since which I did not have b4 that day.......

I have had several MRI's done.  They never show anything.  I had my last one about 3 mos. ago.  I was beginning to think I had a tumor somewhere, but they keep saying they are normal?!?  I am just so frustrated with the whole ordeal.  I know that there is probably no cure, but I wish someone had an answer to some kind of relief.

I have dealt with this for 8 years now, and have been to EVERY doctor imaginable.  It's always the same answer VERTIGO.  I don't really have episodes, it's just a bad feeling all day long.  Does yours affect your eyes?  With my eyes, they just feel really wobbly and if feels like there is something wrong with the nerves behind my eyes. I have gone to the eye dr and he says he doesnt see anything wrong.  And does heat make yours worse.  I was finally diagnose with Menieres Disease 2 wks. ago and I am trying the low salt diet.  It is not helping at all.  I go back to the dr. in 2 wks for a check up and ENG.  I havent been able to work in over a year and I rarely ever drive anymore.   I think my eyes are the most bothersome symptom, because that's what makes me the dizziest.  I just feel like my head/nerves are in a constant state of panic.  That's whats different about mine.  I don't get episodes.  There are periods throughout the day that I feel worse, but I feel like this 24/7.  If I find any kind of relief whatsoever, I will be sure to let you know.  Have you tried Ativan or Xanax?  Those do help out between episodes.
