This is kinda nasty but the way I collected the mucus from the nose was like this. I first blew my nose into my fingers and then scraped my fingers to the edge/top of the collection container (which is actually a urine sample container) and i kept doing this a few times a day for a couple of days. I have found out that pseudomonas live on our skin naturally. I believe its the aeruginosa type. Im stuck right now because I dont know if the pseudomona is actually from my nose or if it came from my fingers. Im pretty sure the staph epidemitis came from my fingers.
Also, about 4 months ago, I tried taking amoxicillin to treat the nasal issue and i had a real bad reaction to it for the first time in my life. Within 25 mins of taking it, my heart started racing and then it felt like my nose throat and mouth got inflammed and it became difficult to breathe and also i had shortness of breathe and it felt like everything inside my head , face and mouth/throat and nose was burning. it was an extremely scary and uncomfortable situation which landed me in the ER where the nurse told me i was just having anxiety and to relax. That made it even more frustrating because I know this is not anxiety as I have been misdiagnosed already with that whole anxiety thing.
To treat gram negative pseudomonas bacteria, I must use ciproflaxcin which is a quinilone. I am very scared to take any anti biotic at this point because I had the reaction to amox before and i dont want to go through anything like that again. I also dont know if i had that reaction to the amox because the pseudomonas is naturally resistant to penaicillins. I asked a doc if I got that reaction to the amox because the bacteria was resisting the medication and 2 docs both just shrugged their shoulders after thinking about it for a moment and said they didnt know. Well, I cant live with that kind of answer. This is my life and im suffering. I dont know what to do now. Im thinking of trying to get admitted into a hospital and maybe get an IV of cipro with a real real slow drip to see if i have a reaction or not. But it will be hard to get admitted. Is it possible that pseudomonas is causing all my symptoms? maybe its made its way into my blood stream?
