Seeing Neurotologist Feb. 9th

I am going to see a top flight neurotologist Feb. 9th about what seems to be, a worsening of tensor muscle spasms (thumps, flutters, etc.) in my mainly, left ear.

I know there is a surgery to clip the offending tendons, but having reactive tinnitus and hyperacusis, I doubt I would come out of that type surgery with anything but a much worsened severe level of tinnitus, maybe hearing loss, and no telling what else.

I would like a CT scan of the ear and TMJ area because the left ear always seems to feel more tight and sometimes it feels like my left lip is drooping after I've been in bed a while.  There is a lot that could be causing these inner ear twitches to be worse.  It seems worse at night right after laying down.  Lately, a full night's rest is a rare thing for me.  Nothing causes anxiety or panic faster than having something like this that is out of control, you can't turn it off or stop it.  I can't think of a question really, but just wanted to post this.  Maybe someone else here has the same problem.

Thanks-
