Sensation of Lump in My Throat

Sensation of having a lump in my throat that started a little over a week ago. Had an ultrasound of my thyroid and found one or two nodules but my doc didn't say anything needed to be done and just needed to be monitored. However, the sensation of fullness or the lump on my right side is very discomforting and I worry about it a lot as if it is cancer or if I need surgery. Any information would be great and appreciated.

I seem to have a similar problem except mine comes and goes and does seem to be related to other symptoms. The easiest way to describe the feeling is it feels as though a piece of food is lodged in my throat, and as much as I swallow it doesn't go away. It also gets worse when I lie down and try to go to sleep for the night.

The other symptoms I notice when its around includes feeling very fatigued and at times nauseous. Although mine has never been examined, one doctor who looked into the thyroid said that it was on the upper limit of normal. I agree with you all though, it's very annoying and makes one nervous that it might be something more serious.  I have noticed though that if I stay on a relatively routined schedule it does diminish.  If anyone has any new additions I'd also love to hear them.

I've been having a feeling of a lump in throat as well. And have had it for a while. If possible its a good idea to see someone who specializes in the area. Don't know by your post if you were already referred out or not.

You may call your doctor and suggest to them that the lump is still present, how about it is watched for the next two weeks and if it hasn't changed that you get a referral to a Ears, Nose and Throat doctor.

All the best.
