Septoplasty Swelling 7 months after Op

I had a operation Septplasty & Turbinate reduction late Novemebr last year but my nose still swells up quite a lot every morning but starts to slowly go down during the day.

On the left side of my nose where majority of the op was performed there is a little hump which feels firm & is quite brown then my other skin, could this be scar tissue & the cause of the swelling in the mornings?

I have an appointment with the doctor but it's in a couple of weeks time.

Thanks for your comment, you actually might be right, My nose is always congested in the morning but during the day goes way & I'm getting a lot of mucus in my throats that i keep spitting out with dry mouth, the doctors are just too busy at the moment, hopefully they'll prescribe me the nasal spray.

Hi,

The swelling in the nose even after the surgery can be due to nasal allergy/vasomotor rhinitis/venous pooling in the orthostatic position. Try using steroid nasal drops, it will subside the symptoms. Do steam inhalations and drink plenty of warm water.

Regarding the little hump in the nose, it might be hypertrophied scar tissue, but warrants a thorough examination.
