Sinus problems

Hi.  What's a good way to diagnose long term sinus problems with no known cause from the past?  To be honest, I never really looked into them until now.  I went to the ent today.  He shined this light and has ordered a sinus CT.  Is that a good test or do I need an MRI too?

A sinus CT is an excellent test for ENTs to use to help determine the severity of a deviated septum, the size of the turbinates, and if there are growths such as polyps or cysts within the actual sinuses.  It's a good starting point of reference in determining the next course of action.  Sounds like your ENT knows what he's/she's doing and that you're on the right track.

I have a condition called hypogammaglobulinenima and my IGA levels are almost non-existent. This is the part of the blood that protects the mucous linings of the lungs, sinuses and eyes.
