Smell and taste gasoline from well water

Smell and taste gasoline from well water

My husband has experienced the smell and taste of gasoline with our new well we just had drilled. The water has been tested and there is no problems. I do not smell it or taste it. He had a severe cold this winter and his ears plugged up so bad. He was treated with anibotics for cold and he went to an ENT doctor for his ears. The doctor removed wax and said because of his age (62) and swimming all his life the small bones in his ears are deformed. So I don't know if all this trama could cause the "smell & taste problem" or if it's something else. It just seems funny he smells it only if he runs the water and he says he tastes it if he drinks it...we filter our water with a Brita pitcher. He does not taste it when it is filtered. Is there some kind of corelation with the smelling and tasting with well water. He has to clear his throat quite often moreso in the winter. When to doctor for that and dr couldn't find anything. P.S. We live in the woods on a very clean lake (tested also) with no chemical spills or gas stations close by.
