Smelly foot odor but not coming from smelly feet...

My husband says his feet smell, but they don't. What can cause him to think he smells his feet, when they don't smell at all? He says the smell is not constant, but he gets a whiff of foot odor, yet when I put my nose to his feet, they just smell clean or have no odor at all. He is the cleanest person I know, and showers daily (sometimes 2x day)

Your husband most likely has an anaerobic bacterial infection somewhere in his nose, not bad enough to cause sinusitis, but enough to cause that false funk.  Go to walgreens and get the neilmed sinus rinse bottle--that may rinse out the infection.  I've had the same problem several times when I used to have chronic sinus problems, but then I invented the Flip-Turn Sinus Flush.  You can read about it by putting your cursor on the blue "friggy" and read about it in my journal.  The procedure is mildly risky because you have to bend over in a shower, and I only recommend it to people who are desperate with sinus problems, even though it has been 100% effective with me so far, but your husband can read about what causes his problem and see that his problem is not in his head, or should I say, not in his mind.
