Something lodged in esophagus

by flutterby8244, Oct 30, 2009 11:16PM
I swallowed a zinc tablet last night and started to experience chest pain. I tried to induce regurgiation and the obstruction moved up my esophagus to interfere with my breathing. A little further and it was in the back of my throat, but I could not get it out. It then moved back down over the night to give me chest pain, and then moved back up to just under my larynx. I have tried eating more food such as bread, drinking water and hot lemon tea, ant-acids, cough medicine, fish oil. Anything really that might have an effect.

This is just a symptom of a much more complex nervous system problem, but I just need to dislodge this zinc tablet for now. And from now on I will be on a liquid diet, I promise.

Please help.

I had one of those chicken tower burgers tonight that has a hash brown. Very yummy on the way in. Bit painful now, in a few different spots.

No one ever gets stuff stuck in their throats?
