Sore Throat Over 1 Month

I am a 28 yo male who, since early February, has had a sore throat. The length of my trachea feels inflamed, and deep breaths, talking at length, or raising my voice causes throat pain that feels like tearing and stinging. Swallowing also hurts. The pain feels like choking and burning pains. I also woke up one morning in the 3rd week with chest pain (dull aching pain) with a more sore throat than usual. At passing times I'm still feeling the chest pain.

I've gone to the doctor twice. I've tested negative for strep throat and am awaiting the results of a blood test for a form of pylori bacteria.

I've self medicated with a lot of green tea with honey, tylenol, and cough drops. The green tea has helped a lot. But regardless this sore throat has persisted for well over a month. I'm a non smoker and rarely drink. I've never had a sore throat for this long.

Any ideas as to what this may be?
