Sore glands for almost 2 months

Hi everybody!  I am new here and have a problem that I am trying to figure out.  I have had very sore, sometimes painful glands for almost 2 months and cannot figure out why. Normally when I get sore glands I get a sore throat too but not this time. It seems to be all the glands around my neck, jaw and behind my ears. When I breath I seem to get pain in my trachea and windpipes. I'm also extremely tired and have very bad headaches. I'm gaining weight and feel very emotional. I'm also getting aches and pains everywhere. When I try to work out I get dizzy and nauseated and sometimes I'm getting chest pains. Please if anyone has any idea it would be greatly appreciated! I have no idea what this could be!

Well, it's been almost a year and I never really got any responses, so I just thought I would up date. I am still having the same problem plus more. The pain is still there. It still feels swollen and tight. I have to stretch it every morning or else I have a hard time talking. I actually feel like I was yelling all night and strained my vocal cords. I have had multiple tests since last spring but still no answers. As my doctor thought the problem was related to acid reflux she had an Upper GI series done which came back normal and an upper endoscopy, which of course also came back normal. My doctor keeps sending me for blood tests but I honestly think she doesn't care. Or she thinks I'm crazy. I know I have low iron and most recently I found out I have a vitamin d deficiency. I am wondering if vitamin d deficiency can cause my symptoms. I also have body aches and pains especially between my shoulder blades and my lower back. My hands and feet fall asleep all the time, I get pain/ pressure in my ears a lot, digestive problems (not unusual), and very bad head aches. I also have been having mood swings.

I used to smoke but quit a year and a half ago.  I never had problems like this while I was a smoker. One thing I do have and think it might be related to is acid reflux.  The reason I think it is related is because about 2 months ago just before this started when I was sleeping one night I woke up with a horrible pain in my windpipes and chest.  It turns out I had inhaled acid while I was sleeping. I had pain that night and the next day but then it went away for about 2 weeks before coming back.  Since then it has been consistently getting worse.
