Strange odours

I am constantly smelling cigarette smoke though i have never smoked and live in a smoke-free building.I can smell it when I am out of my home  as well. I also feel a slight burning sensation in my esohpagus. I have had 3 other incidences of strange smells ( not smoke ) usually in the Fall lasting between 2 to 3 weeks. My doctor has no idea what I am talking about.Do you? This time it is especially bad.

One of the causes of the burning smell, and yes, I have experienced that smell, is an anerobic bacteria that often doesn't cause other sinusitis symptoms, which leads some doctors to think you're slightly bonkers.  Note that this is not the only cause of these smells, sometimes it can be allergy related, or it can be something else entirely.  You may wish to see an ENT before anything else.

If you get no results, here is the technique that worked for me.

The Flip-Turn Sinus Flush is mildly risky, because you have to bend over to do it, preferably in a shower, but you can also do it outside on soft ground.

I am interested to see if you get any comments on your post. I have always been very sensitive to cigarette smoke. Sometimes I'll smell it without being around anyone who's been smoking. It's like I can taste it in my mouth! It really bothers me when it happens. I also get a burning sensation in my esophagus, but I always thought that was just heartburn?
