Strange throbbing pain in throat.

Hello forum. 20 year old non smoker/ never drank alcohol male. I seem to have developed a strange pain in my neck. Its located right on top of my cartoid artery area on the left side. No visible lumps or redness. No swelling either. The throbbing pain is with my pulse. Problem is, my blood pressure and heart helath is extremely good. BP is 110/80 most of the time.I have a bad case of acid reflux every now and then.  My family has a history of thyroid problems. I am a slight bit out of shape. Also have been in a car accident where i got a nasty whiplash, but that was it. Lots of stress coming from there. But besides all that info, it seems to only occur when im walking around. When I sit, it goes away. I hope its nothing serious. Maybe thyroid or lymph nodes.
This kind of scares me because I dont want to keel over and die because it was something that had to do with my arteries. Would appriceate some good answers.
