Strep throat /Rhuematic fever.

Hello.

I have been feeling unwell for almost six weeks now. It started off with a dry sore (very mild) throat which only lasted bout 3 days. A few days later my lymph nodes around my neck and under my chin begin to swell and become quite painful. I go to my Dr and he ordered some blood tests. The results came back and I tested  neg for Mono and CMV but had an extremely high strep of 626. My other blood test showed a normal WBC count and red blood cell count etc. I thought this was odd as I never really had a strep throat.

He then perscribed a 10 day course of Penicillan. I then return to the Drs in 10 days time feeling preety much the same. He then ordered a second round of bloods only to reveal that my strep levels had only dropped to 500. He told me there was nothing much else he could do and said that my immune system should fight the rest of the strep.

I wasnt satisfied with this so I decided to see a new Dr and get a 2nd opinion. I bring in all my bloodwork to my new Dr. At this time (now 3 weeks after initial onset of symptoms) I begin to get joint pain and mucle aches but more prominent in my joints. Also my lymh nodes under both my arms are swollen and tender/ painful to touch. The new Dr orders more blood work including Kidney, Thyroid, Liver, ASOT, urine culture and sensitivity and general blood work.

The results come back in. Everything seems fine accept for my ASOT  titres which have elevated back up to 576. In addition, I have microscopic levels of blood in my urine (non glomurular) and evidence of Calcium oxalate crystal present in the test as well. My Dr dosnt seem to concerned about the blood in the urine as she explained that it sometimes occurs in some people with out complication. She persccribed a new anti biotic (amoxillin) over a two week period to try and eliminate the strep. She suspects Rhuematic fever but did not seem to confident in her diagnosis.....

Currently the joint pain has subsided some what but I am still quite tired, I still have a pain under both of my arm pits and now I get these random headaches.

My question is can Rhuematic fever /strep cause systematic swelling of the lymph nodes and headaches?
