Swollen glands underjaw

I have been having problems ever since I was put on Protonix for Gastritis in Jan. 2008.  I was taking this mediation against my own good judgement.  I took it for about 12 weeks.  It caused an imblance in my system and ever since that a gland on both sides under my jaw swell during the day..  Eating or not eating it does not matter.  I can not eat carbs or sugary foods without compounding the problem.  I see the doctor on Monday July 7th.  I have seen him once before and he said Virus can get in those glands and stay for a long peroid of time,  massage and use warm face cloths on them.   When they swell it is painful.  My nurologist told me yesterday that I have post nasal dripping down the back of my throat.  I have had sinus problems most of my life.  She had me use a nasal rinse but a small amount dripped into my throat and made it worse. So I will not do that again.  I believe my left ear is blocked with wax.  My primary care doctor told me to use over the counter product to clean it but my other doctor always did the cleanning of the wax.  I was told that the nose, ear and throat doctor would probably do that on Monday.  If these glands were not  painful I would just be ok but there is pain and pressure.  Please any advice would help.

I am sorry you feel bad, Go back and ask for you ears to be cleared of the Wax, they can do it, so persist, does sound like a virus causing the swollen glands, didnt they give you med for that, can you take pain killers Advil has an anti inflamatory in it will help. This may help till you get to see someone on the 17th,Good luck
