THROAT PROBLEM *IM SCARED*

So, yesterday I was with some friends and as we were talking, mid setance i felt a pop at the the of my throat, right beneath my jaw. I thought nothing of it, and proceeded to talk. About 10 minutes later I felt the right side of my jaw, inside of my jaw bone, an irritation, almost like it fell or something. So I went to sleep and woke up the next morning with the same problem. I was on the computer and burped, went to swallow and half way through my throat locked up. I burped again, and something felt like it popped back into place and i could swallow. Being a 17 year old, I went to school and started to eat my pop tart. I had difficulty swallowing and right after felt like my right side was swollen, and I could almost move around something in my cheek and lower jaw. Now, being tonight, it changed from feeling like something ripped or snapped, to the muscles tightening and burping opens it up. But i still have pain in my lower jaw and cheek (right). It feels like somethings lodged in there and now when I burp i get the burning sensation of throwing up. Help please.( I have had a violent cough for the past month or so.)

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

If you don't have pain with swallowing, do you have pain on touching your neck in the anterior (front) aspect? If with touching you are getting pain it is likely to be an inflammation of the skin, subcutaneous tissue or the trachea. This can happen with injury, repetitive activity or an infection of the skin. It can also be an enlarged lymph node or an inflammation of the thyroid gland. I would advise you to consult your doctor, for proper evaluation of your symptoms. In the meantime if you have pain you can use OTC tylenol (acetaminophen).

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I think you should see a doctor this week to make sure you don't have a problem with a blood vessel.
