it seems that saline won't kill fungus or some bacteria- what do they use in ENT's offices to clean out sinuses? when I went they used a spray
how do you know if the sores inside your nose that you feel are an abscess or fungal infection?
my father was living in the same house and had an incurable fungal nasal infection
I also keep getting blood in my mucus from my nose? I kind of hope that this is the end of my health problems and it's just a sinus infection all these years
the main thing is that I've been suffering from this chronic exhaustion and brain fog for 2 years and don't know the cause even though I've seen an ENT and pulmonologist
I'm kind of shocked how can the ER doc just give me steroids which can cause an infection by crippling my immune system?
thanks for your message! well the the general doc was the one who sent me to the ER where they gave me the sulamedrol injection which I think caused my current infection- still am wheezing. and then there was terrible doctor who gave me 30mg of prednisone which did nothing but elevate my liver levels
I think you need to stay away from too many steroids or it will cripple your immune system like what happened to me, prednisone at 30mg is too much
I take dulera and singulair and albuterol now but my FEV1 is stuck at 73
I weigh 180, was running 30 min a day and was doing low carb diet but am eating lot of sugar now. I am still suffocating in my sleep though from the sleep apnea, feel terrible sometimes
Well, do you have a general physician "hubbing" all this? You definitely need a good Internist. Sounds like you are "going here and there." I am not sure if you have a crappy general physician or if you aren't agreeing with treatments prescribed or advised and moving on to other physicians.
What treatment has been ordered for these problems already? You definitely need a CPAP at night with an O2 level of 75%.
On the other side, are you doing all you can from your end? Diet good? Weight down? (if I were to guess I would say you are overweight in regards to the diagnoses you have been given). Exercise? Don't smoke or drink?
Have you ever been scoped by an ENT Specialist or a GI Specialist?
What medications are you on now that WORK for you?
I've been diagnosed with GERD, asthma, sleep apnea, maybe the sa is the big problem since I only get 75% O2 at night
I haven't been diagnosed with any Crohn's.
Most of your problems would fall in the ENT category. I would recommend consulting an ENT Specialist.
"Sleep Apnea?" Have you been diagnosed with this or do you think you have this? If you have been diagnosed with this then what physician do you follow up with?
Perhaps no specialty/physician is really willing to help you because you are giving him/her a list of one million and one things that are wrong with you then you are demanding "this and that" for testing. In other words you sound "all over the board." Definitely don't do this especially with a specialist. You must be "short and to the point" unless he/she asks you to go into more detail. Plus, let them be the "physician." However, if a physician isn't helping after you all...then find one that will, unfortunately, you might need to consult a slew of them before one will help you.
anyway I am worried because my doctors won't do these tests or do what is necessary to get me better even though I keep switching
my allergist isn't an ENT....I have IGE of 165 so I was thinking of trying xolair for asthma, but I can't get my doctors to run these special antibody tests
do you have GI disease too like Crohn's? my friend had it and followed a really strict diet to not become sick and it seems that's what I have to do
yeah I went several times to the allergist and all he did was prescribe me nasonex and never any desnistization to my dust mite allergy
anyway I can't function anymore with sleep apnea- can't take classes or learn or remember and now I'm stuck with wheezing that doesn't respond to prednisone or inhalers
thanks!
DON'T EVER USE H2O2 IN YOUR NASAL PASSAGES TO CLEAN THEM OUT.
You sound like a"nervous wreck." Calm down a bit.
Have you been back to the Allergist? Is your Allergist also an ENT Specialist?
why is it my doctor only gave me nasonex and didn't tell me about neilmed?
I have been suffocating from months from sleep apnea and maybe this could be the cause
after using neilmed like 5 times I finally had some fluid drain from my sinuses I think I can finally breathe better- I'm going to use water with table salt or neilmed solution
but I still have pain when I just rinse water through my left nostril and pressure from something? maybe my sinus shape is flawed and I need septal surgery or something. my father had a bad fungal sinus infection that he couldn't cure before he died so it could be my house where I can't move from and this black mold near the refrigerator
I also still have wheezing on exhaling after being on prednisone for a week and inhalers
how do you know if you have a septum problem and need surgery? usually my mucus is clear or white
