Throat Pain

My daughter has been complaining of throat pain for the last 3 months. we have taken her to her pediatrician and she couldnt figure out what was wrong with her. We took her to the ENT and he didnt find anything wrong with her. She complains every day and wakes up crying during the night that her throat and ears hurt her. Could this be allergies? we have a dog and a cat in the house. We need some answers im tired of seeing her in pain.  Thanks

I have never seen allergies cause pain to this degree.  Plus, it's hard to call something 'allergies' when there isn't a huge component of allergic-type symptoms (sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, itching).  How old is your daughter?  For young kids, this could be teething pain.  She could have bad acid reflux.  There could be something else going on too.  My advice would be to see a different doctor (any Pediatric ENT specialists in your area?) and get another exam/opinion.  Without an obvious cause, this will take some sleuthing and a doc with experience with these types of problems.

I agree, does your girl get ear infections a lot? When you have an ear infection that is not treated it can lead to a soar throat. My best advice is to go into any  medical place and ask them to check her ears. I hope she gets well soon!
