Tickling sensation in ear

Recently when I lie down to go to sleep, (mainly on my stomach), I get a weird tickling sensation in my left ear which lasts for about a minute or so and then it feels like a worm is crawling inside my ear.  I have been to an ENT specialist and have had cortisone drops but nothing seems to be working.  I also may TMJ but I don't know if this is connected.  Could it have something to do with my Eustachian Tube?

It could, secondarily.  You could have some fluid in your middle ear space that moves about. This can be related to Eustachian tube dysfunction.  In this case, ear drops would not be expected to help, since the fluid is separated from the outer ear canal by your ear drum.
