Tonsillitis,Bad Sleep Apnea, and Pregnant

So I've had tonsillitis for a long time now, and my breathing while i sleep has become very shallow as well as i stop breathing est.13 times throughout the night. Im currently 2 weeks pregnant and I cant afford to stop breathing in the middle of the night, would a dr. still conduct a tonsilectomy under these conditions?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Your doctor may give antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications to control the tonsillitis. He may plan for surgery after the pregnancy. Please consult your primary care physician for further evaluation.

In the meantime for relief from your symptoms you could do warm salt gargles.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
