Trying this again, still chronic ENT problems

If you search my name, I think you can see my past posts.  Whatever I *don't* have is just getting worse and worse. Still have chronic dry mouth and throat and tongue and palate just do not feel right.  Now, have continuous feeling of mucus behind my left sinus and in my throat.  Cannot blow it out and seldom able to cough up anything.  I am also feeling nauseated now and still having night sweats.  I just feel generally unwell all the time.  I have seen several ENT docs and had several tests done, negative biopsies for Sjorgens.  Due to a scratch on my arm that got infected, I have been on generic Bactrim for 6 days now. I was so hoping it might help with the sinus/mucus issues but has not.  I am just miserable 24/7.  I tried Mucinex (one doc suggested) but it gave me heartburn and upset my stomach.  I use nasal saline spray, nasal gels, nasal rinses, Biotene mouth wash and spray, GC dy mouth gel, drink fluids constantly and nothing helps, nothing!!
So depressing and I am just about confined to my home because of this.

Thank you for your response.  When I first started complaining of night sweats, over 2 years ago now, my PCP immediately ordered a TB test, which was negative.  The latest ENT doctor I am seeing is ordering yet another CT scan of my sinuses.  The last ENT doc that ordered a CT scan came into the room and asked me if my neck hurt because it seems to be going in the opposite direction is should be.  I know I have degeneration due to Osteo.
This ENT did not do a scope but did look down my throat.  I now have a constant feeling of a mucus plug in my throat which I cannot expectorate, therefore (and I know I am not supposed to do this) am trying to cough and/or clear my throat often. Nothing I do or use helps.  I am very limited as to what I can use due to the chronic dry mouth and throat issues.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Understand your predicament. But certain chronic infections like tuberculosis can cause a general feeling of unwellness, an evening rise of temperature and increased sweating. This also causes a loss of appetite; as such this is accompanied by weight loss. So, record your temperatures, on a two hourly basis to detect an evening rise of temperature.  Please check with your doctor to rule out this condition.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
