Tumor or Cyst?

Years ago I noticed a lump located by the base of my nose.  The first doctor couldn't feel it, the second ignored it, and said it was just cartlidge.  I've noticed it getting bigger and I'm starting to worry about it.  

I had a head CT and an MRI for migraine related issues and I was told I had sinus disease, but I'm wondering if this would have shown up as well (if it were a tumor).

The last Dr. I went to was a Dermatologist and she said it was a cyst - and that since it has been there for so long, not to worry about it.  But in the past month, it's grown and now it's sore (although i have been prodding it).  

Any thoughts?  I have an ENT appt, but not for a few days and I'm extremely neurotic about things like this.

so my question is - could this be cancerous?  Could it just be a cyst, or would something more malignant have shown up with the other testing?

My feeling is that this is not a tumor. That year before it started, have you been traveling in  a tropical region,like south america?Or are do you live in the Southern US area, like Texas?. The sand fly can tranmist a cutenous form of leishmania called leishmania mexicana. It can manifests itself by a pimple inside the nose that one scratches but never goes away. I don't think you should get too nervous about cancer. I don't think you have symptoms for that.  But if you happened to travel a lot in tropical region or  live in dry  region like texas, with lots of  mosquitos, prior to this problem, maybe you should consult a specialist who knows about the cutenous form of leishmania.
