Tympanic Membrane puncture.. need help :(

Well about 5 weeks ago a moth flew into my ear, all the way in so it was right next to my eardrum. I didnt have any pain, just obvious discomfort as it was alive the entire time. I had to go to the ER and about three hours later they finally got it out. I could hear perfectly fine again, and they gave me some eardrops and sent me on my way. I distinctly remember waking up the next morning with drainage from the ear.
A week later i got a really bad ear infection, so i went to my doctors. They gave me antibiotics to clear it up and said if its not 100% better in a week or two, come back. Well it wasn't, needless to say. So i went back and although the infection was cleared up, the doctor said the ER people must have punctured my eardrum when they got the moth out.. And i have to see an ear specialist. I needed a referral for that though, and it took me a week to get that (long story). So i finally have everything in order and they cant even see me for two weeks. My problem is this.. Over the past day or two my ear has begun to hurt a lot more.. It itches (which im told its just the healing process..), and i started hearing cracking noises last night that keep on happening more frequently. All i know is its starting to hurt a lot more.. Really sharp pains. Can i wait two weeks longer? Or does this sound more serious, and i should get it looked at immediately?
