Unexplained Soreness

Ok i woke up the morning of October 29, ate breakfast, and suddenly i was experiancing some unexplained soreness in my throat went to the Dr's and he asked if i had any cuts and of course i did not.  He said that he could not find anything wrong and that if my soreness continues i should come see him again.  It is 5 hours later and the pain has worsened.  What could the soreness be?  How can i solve it if the doctor can not?  I come to you the public for help.
