Vasomotor Rhinitis and Vocal Cord questions

I was recently diagnosed with vasomotor rhinitis and given a prescription for Allegra and Nasonex.  I am a singer and have noticed that I am having trouble with my voice that I have never experienced before.  It cracks when I sing, my throat feels tight while I sing and my throat is sore after I sing.  I have wondered if I might have Singer's Nodes.  But I also wanted to know if either of these Rx's that I have taken could cause the vocal cords to loose hydration and lubrication and be causing these problems.  Any ideas?

I don't know about the vocal chord problem specifically, but both of the medications DO have a drying effect to the nose and mouth, which can result in a "tightness" kind of feeling (not a constricting feeling to breathing, but rather, a strained throat feeling.)

Do you drink a lot of water?  That helps.
