What can be done

I have been having a lot of ear infections so ny doctors says it all sterted in 2007 with what they said was swimmers ears.Well in Feb of 2009 my ears got so plugged they put ne on 3 differant ear med.nothing helped so I went and saw a ear specialist and he said I had like a fungus of the ear witch women get as they get older and it is because wax stops growing in the ear what can be done so the fungus stops coming back he told me I might have to keep going back to get my ears cleaned out
