What is the cause?

What is the cause?

I've been coughing non-stop since january ... ay ideas?  The only thing that helps is taking Tussinex.  An ENT guy said he thought I had asthma and gave me Advair.  Took that over a month and a half, but it just got worse.  A pulmonary specialist gave me pulmonary lung specialist test and they were fine.  I cough so much at night, I can't function at work ...

Can you help?

First of all..I am sorry you are having to deal with these coughing spells! My grandson done the same thing for a long period of time.He also takes Tussinex, advair, and also has an inhaler. He was diagnoised with asthma several years ago..he is only 11 now.I do believe he is going to outgrow it,hasn't had a spell since early winter. The inhaler is a life-saver.Maybe you could try to get a script for one from your Dr? His pulmonary lung fuctioning test was okay, too.Just another thought...you could be allergic to something. The big problem is..what is it??There is also a pill called Tessalon that is for cough.....it works great also.Coughing is not fun...hope you get to feeling better!
