What went wrong during my surgery?

What went wrong during my surgery?

Hell All,
I have been living with vertigo for about 5 years now. My vertigo started a day after I had my wisdom teeth taken out (I only had 2 on the bottom). This problem absolutely runs my life. I constantly have to take Meclizine and Ibuprofen and use a "bed buddy" which has helped me so much. These symptoms all stem from chewing or talking alot and grinding my teeth at night. My symptoms include: Ear pain right in front of my right ear at the jaw joint, I sometimes have it in my left ear but, that's only if I overly chew or talk alot, a warming sensation when the muscles around my ear/jaw joint are inflamed and I haven't taken Ibuprofen yet, blurred vision in my right eye when I wake up in the morning along with a little bit of inflammation in my sinus area and my eyelid. For the past 6 months I haven't been able to smell things very well nor breathe well out of my nose. My doctor told me it was a sinus infection in which I took antibiotics and she gave me a steroid nose spray. I was excited at first because I was feeling better however, that was only for the first week. I have had thousands of dollars worth of tests and so far no one can help me. My doctor said it wasn't TMJ but, my symptoms sound alot like TMJ. I try to massage my facial muscles but, of course this aggravates the muscles and vertigo sets in. I am at my wits end. I started grinding my teeth about 8 months ago and have to sleep with a night guard on. This has helped me a tiny bit. This problem has affected not only my professional career but, my social life as well. I get very emotional and almost have panic attacks because the vertigo and ear pain have been so bad. I just want to be a normal person and wake up in the morning feeling good. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Lexi, I agree with you -- your symptoms sound VERY consistent with TMJ and I think you should get another opinion.  There are clinics out there that see/diagnose/treat TMJ patients.  Your symptoms are not consistent with sinus infections.
