White mucus in pharynge

Hello, 20 days ago I had high risk sex. Now I feel sore thorat and inflammed tonsils. I know it could be a cold.
But here is my question:
I saw my pharynge, and i saw white mucus. Actually I feel that mucus in my nose, but when i swallow it, it appears in my pharyngue, behind my tonsils, and the botton! I am afraid about oropharyngeal candidiasis. I want to know if candidiasis is like a white mucus, that I can swallow and remove it. Or maybe candidiasis is something hard to remove, a plaque fixed to the ephitelium.
Please help me.
