Worried about a swelling/lump on my nose.

Hey all,

I'm getting slightly concerned about a lump on my nose. It's on the right side along the bridge. It's a few mm in size, but obviously on the nose it stands out a bit.

Background information. I'm 27, Male, ex smoker. I have chronic sinusitis and a deviated septum, these will be operated on within the next couple of months so hopefully I'll be able to breathe again. I had a CT scan about 4 months ago and nothing was untoward minus the swelling in my sinuses and the deviated septum.

This lump is quite tender, it's hard and just feels like bone. It's not irritating otherwise and whilst it is noticeable when you look from a certain angle, from straight on it barely is. I've got my pre op appointment in just over a week so I'll bring it up with the nurse I'm seeing and ask if it's worth having a quick chat with the ENT doctor about it whilst in already in.

But just to try and ease my mind in the meantime. Could this lump/swelling be to do with the pre existing conditions? I've never broke my nose and I don't recall my nose being this out of shape before I started getting these issues 18 months ago.
