This might be benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), which can happen after head trauma. Lots of info on the Internet about it--look it up. Find an ENT or a vestibular therapist who can try the canalith repositioning maneuver (Epley maneuver) on you (if it's indeed BPPV). It's an instant cure 80-90 percent of the time and only takes a few minutes. Sounds too good to be true, but it's standard treatment for BPPV now, and it works. BPPV sometimes recurs, but you can just do the Epley again.

If the problem is not BPPV, an ENT, especially a neuro-otologist (superspecialist ENT type), might be able to help you figure out your dizziness problem.

Good luck!

I was run over by a car 2 years ago and had pretty bad head trauma. I was dizzy also which is understandable but it went away, I started to get better about 2-3 months. Then 8 months later I was getting out of the shower flipped my head up and it was the most terrifying dizziness. It then came and went for 4-5 months and then I didn't have it for 10 months and now it just came back .

What happens when you have a head trauma is.....crystals that are located in your inner ear get knocked out of place. These crystals keep you balanced and stable. You can go to your doctor and ask him about The Epley Manoeuver which is just a short dip and turn which helps put the crystals back in place but it may reoccur I'm afraid. I would give yourself some time though it may just go away once you stabilize
