I am a 52 year old female with a history of speech problems since I was able to first talk. I ha speechc therapy at ages 6-9, 14-15 and 19 and 20 years of age. It was determined that the problem was not a cleft palate. the palate was high and the bone right behind the 2 front teeth was more narrow and went up higher and faster  than what it is suppose to. I had to learn to replace my tongue in my mouth in proportion to the way the mouth is structured. There were also problems with having to learn to swallow with mor frequency, misarticulation of the   "r's
' and "l's"  adding sounds and ccutting the ends off the words.
I have also had problems with asthma and allergys (allergies), depression and sensory integration disorter and basilar migraines with an abnormal eeg. the cat scan was negative.
My question is whhhhhhether a deviated septum could be a potential problem causing all the problems and whether I should be seen by an ENT type of docter. The left nostril is smaller than the right side  and it seems like I've always had the pressure  behind the left eye and ear infections as well as problems with acid reflux disease. There is a slight TMJ problem. The bith on my teeth is completely right but not correctable from all the xrays and bites tht the dentists took.  I suspect the possibility of a deviated septum but need to know how to address this with the PCP  to be seen by an ENT type of docter.
