clear leakage from ear

by Di2, Nov 08, 2009 10:01AM
I have a clear liquid leakage from my ear.  The ENT has done Cat scan and lumbar Cat scan.  No Cranial leak is found.  He has no more ideas.  He has said he can recommend other ENTs.  It seems if one can't find the cause then more wouldn't either.  The fluid itself has not been taken or sent for tests.  I have a tube in the ear which was put in a couple of months ago to keep the fluid from building behind the eardrum.  It worked,,,now it leaks out.  I wake with a wet pillow and hair.  Several times a day I have to wipe the drip from my ear.  Any ideas at all?  From anyone?
I am not sure which is worse, the blocked ear so I can't hear, or the drip?  Is it possible I am seeing the wrong specialist?  Help!
