complications after tonsillectomy

Hello,

3 weeks ago i had a tonsillectomy, in the last 4 days i developed oral thrush with horrible pain in mouth and throat, i went to the doctor and he prescribed me oral anti fungal meds.
Today im feeling a diferent pain in the side of the throat, a pain much like strep throat.

Is it possible that i have strep throat and oral thrush? I must be the mit unlucky guy

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Fungal infections are common in many throat  infections. So there could be a strep throat infection, a throat swab could help diagnose this. Fungal infections can also occur with steroid inhalers. Continue and complete your anti fungal medications.
