continous ear infections

my 18mth old continously gets ear infections from teething  she already has been hospitalised from having a burst ear drum and has her name on a waiting list lately which is 6mths long to get her ears fitted with gromits. The question I have now is it ok to put warm oil into her ear to help bring the wax out as she has very small ear canals. Txs Cal

Hello and hope you are doing well.

If there is a rupture of the tympanic membrane, please don't put anything in the ears, as this is likely to cause an infection of the middle ear.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
