cricket and swashing sounds in ear

I have been experiencing cricket and swashing sounds in my ears I have been told it was from acid reflux and then tmj. I do have acid reflux and am on previcid but this just cannot be the problem I went through some test a corotid ultrsound it was normal also echo cardiogram and it was normal, I have had a mitro valve prolapse all my life and I can hear my heart beat along with these other sounds sometimes.But I am at my witts end with this I have been to the dr. at least 5 times and no solution I hope you can help me. I got a (what I call) squishy sound in my ear when I plug it and then unplug my ear(with my finger).  We may be calling the same thing by different names.  It has happened before and when I went to a doctor it was determined that it was an ear infection. Now its doing it again.  Thats all that I can contribute.  Except the first time it happened I also lost some of my hearing but it came back after the infection went away..
