ear hole

i have a hole in my right ear. but i dont have any problem to this hole which means no itching no pain no wax . but my doctor said operation is very necessary for close the hole.  but i have pain in my left ear and have wax also. but no hole in left ear i really vey confused to what can i do? is it necessary for operation for my right ear? please give me a quick reply?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

A hole in the ear drum, makes the ear more susceptible to infections. Moreover this can affect the hearing and so needs to be repaired. Was hearing test done?. The wax in the left ear can be removed and you will have relief from pain.
